Floor tiles are gone. 

Now the entire house is covered 

in cement and tile dust. So now I get to wash walls, 

doors, pretty much the ENTIRE inside of the house.

Plus every afternoon I have to drop what

I am doing so I can spend 20 min with the 

exergen bone stimulator

strapped to my foot . 

Then back in the Frankenstein boot and back

 to dust removal .

Tom called the insurance company

and they cannot come out until  2/26 .

We know there is a 99% chance they will 

say To Bad- So Sad .

Insurance companies are not here to help

you . They are just here to take your money.

The good news is. 

It happened BEFORE the cabinets got installed.

Spent the day running from one flooring

place to another. Found flooring that we 

will have put down. Bad news is , it is gray, so is

the area rug that I bought 2 months ago because 

it was on sale. 

 

Got home from running around and then had to go to

 the tax guyand sign papers so we can give him

 money PLUS  give Colorado & Arkansas money also.

Don't ya love tax time ???

Just got an email from the kitchen remodel guy

Wanna guess where this is going???? 

 

 

Good Morning Tom,

 

Melanie and I thought the other told you about the delay. Cabinets will not be in until the beginning of February like the first week. We also had a conversation about mask at your home and stated that the workers will not be wearing mask. I am EPA certified and OSHA requires a 15 min break every hour while wearing a mask. That would increase the cost of labor to double. While we are working either please leave the home or practice social distancing. If this is a problem please let me know.

Sooo here are the pictures of the kitchen that was supposed to disappear 

on Wednesday. Now they are saying February.

Waiting to hear back from them after  my response to their email.

 

January 16

The search continues..

Between the stress of this hellascious pandemic

lockdown and cold crappy weather I am about

2 hairs short of a total melt down.

 

Falling last night did not help matters any. I have

hated this floor from day one  and last night between 

tile floor and one of my shoes right by my chair, 

well, BANG

I hit the floor. I think something might be broken 

in my left foot and I sure as hell am not

setting either foot inside of an emergency

room right now. I can live with a broken bone, but 

may not live if I end up with covid .

So Tom dug several of my old walking boots/casts 

out of the garage and I am using one of them.

December 2020

 The depression continues.

I have had 2nd cataract surgery and still cannot see worth a damn.

My vision is worse now than before. I cannot stand any kind of bright light and oncoming cars at night just about knocks me out of my seat. I miss driving and I miss being able to go place by myself.  After New Years I am going to contact a different eye surgeon and see what can be done. I can't continue like this.

 

I did not want to put up a Christmas tree but Tom carried it in today so I put some ornaments on it.  There was no joy in decorating.

 

I wrote out an mailed 3 Christmas cards this year and that is the extent of my mailing.  I just do not want to be bothered..

It was a quiet Christmas Day and it was cold.

Tom bought me a mermaid necklace and hoop earrings. Had to return the earring. Had the widest thickest post I have ever seen  . Would not go thru my ears.. 

Jack sent me a necklace that says

"I love you to the moon and back" 

Something I have said to him his entire life. It made my heart happy. 

Serena went overboard as usual.. But I love everything she sent !!!
